All transactions are carried out in GBP (£ sterling). If you have provided us with an email address, we will email you to confirm receipt of your payment if you have requested this.
Experience Days & Spectator Policy
- VIP Solo Days are conducted on a one-to-one basis between the falconer and the participant, with the option to add spectators if required.
- Experience Days and Half Days accommodate a maximum of 10 people, consisting of any number of participants and spectators.
Spectator Fees:
- Half Day: £25.00 per spectator
- Fly the Big Four: £25.00 per spectator
- Full Day: £50.00 per spectator (maximum of 2 per participant)
- VIP Solo Days: Maximum of 4 spectators at £50.00 per spectator for Full Days, and £45.00 per spectator for Half Days
Experiences are available Monday to Sunday, subject to availability. Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Spectators can be booked alongside the main booking or added later with at least 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled date. All spectators must be pre-booked, and we reserve the right to refuse entry to any unregistered spectator if their presence exceeds our maximum capacity. While we endeavour to accommodate unregistered spectators where possible, they will be charged the relevant spectator fee, payable in advance or on the day.
For groups consisting of multiple children under the age of 16, one adult may spectate free of charge for every three children. An additional adult spectator will be admitted free of charge only once the ratio of one adult per three children is met. If an accompanying adult/guardian purchases a participant slot, this does not qualify for a free spectator place, and the same 3:1 ratio applies.
Voucher Policy
- Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- If an experience is postponed due to inclement weather, the voucher validity will be extended accordingly.
- If a participant cannot redeem their voucher within 12 months due to unforeseen circumstances, an extension may be granted for £20 per additional month, up to a maximum of three months, subject to availability. Extensions are not guaranteed.
- Expired vouchers are non-refundable. It is the voucher holder’s responsibility to book their experience within the validity period.
Special Offer Vouchers:
- Half Day vouchers purchased during the 20% off Valentine’s Sale (13th – 15th February 2025) are valid for 3 months only and must be booked and used by the end of May 2025.
- No refunds will be provided for unredeemed vouchers within this period.
- Extensions may be available at our discretion for £20 per additional month, up to a maximum of 3 months.
Voucher Cancellations & Refunds
- Vouchers can be cancelled within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
- Payment portal fees may be deducted from the refund amount, as we do not receive the full payment due to third-party transaction charges.
- This policy remains in place throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Refunds are not available due to pandemic-related disruptions.
COVID-19 and Lockdown Extensions
- If your voucher was affected by COVID-19 lockdowns, The Hawking Centre has extended its validity to ensure it can be booked and used as intended.
- The maximum extension period is 3 years from the original purchase date.
- If the voucher remains unused after this period, further extensions will not be granted, and no refunds will be issued.
Changes & Cancellations by The Hawking Centre
- We reserve the right to alter the location or date of an experience day. If rescheduling is required, we will extend the voucher validity where applicable.
- In the event of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, we may postpone a booking at our discretion. While we make every effort to notify clients in advance, this is not always possible due to unpredictable weather conditions.
- If the weather deteriorates during your experience, we may need to stop flying for safety reasons. In such cases, we will rebook the remainder of your session for another date. The Hawking Centre is not liable for travel or accommodation costs incurred due to weather-related postponements.
- Refunds are not provided for cancellations due to adverse weather.
Customer Cancellations & No-Shows
- You may reschedule your booking up to 48 hours before your scheduled experience.
- If you cancel within 48 hours or fail to attend without notice, your voucher will be deemed used, and no rebooking will be permitted.
Participant Responsibility & Safety
- Handling birds or animals carries inherent risks. Participants will receive guidelines upon arrival to ensure their safety and maximise enjoyment.
- Despite our best efforts to minimise risks, The Hawking Centre cannot be held liable for any injuries sustained.
- Participation is at your own risk, and we accept no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings during your visit.
Lunch Provision
- Lunch is included for participants and spectators on VIP Solo Days and Full-Day Experience Days.
- Lunch is not included for Half Days, Fly the Big Four, or One-Hour Experiences.
Conduct & Behaviour
- Our team is dedicated to the highest standards of care for our birds and guests.
- While we strive to be responsive, our staff also conduct experience days and displays, meaning emails and phones are not always immediately attended to.
- Any rude or aggressive behaviour towards our staff, animals, or other guests will not be tolerated.
Animal Adoption Terms & Conditions
Adoption Packages
By purchasing a symbolic animal adoption package (“Adoption”), you acknowledge that the adoption is symbolic only. Adoption does not confer ownership, custody, or any legal rights over the animal.
We offer adoption periods of 3, 6, or 12 months. Each package includes the benefits listed at purchase (e.g., certificate, photo, tickets), which may vary depending on the package.
Adoption Use, Gifting, and Certificate Naming
Adoption benefits are personal to the named recipient and non-transferable, except in the case of gifting. If purchased as a gift:

The purchaser must provide the recipient’s details at the time of purchase.

All benefits, including certificates, photos, and tickets, will be issued in the name of the recipient.

Certificates, photos, and tickets may not be resold or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
Animal Availability & Behaviour
While we aim to provide the best experience, we cannot guarantee:

The presence or visibility of the animal during visits.

Any specific behaviour, condition, or lifespan of the animal.
Liability
By participating in visits or events associated with your adoption:

You assume all risks associated with attending or interacting with animals.

We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by the animal, except where caused by our negligence.
Use of Adoption Benefits
All benefits included in your adoption package, including tickets, photos, and certificates, must be claimed and used within the duration of your adoption period (3, 6, or 12 months from the date of purchase). Benefits cannot be carried over or redeemed after the adoption period ends, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Corporate Sponsorship
Companies or organisations may sponsor an animal through a symbolic adoption. Any use of adoption benefits for promotional or commercial purposes must be agreed in writing. Standard restrictions on resale or commercial use apply unless otherwise authorised.
Refunds & Cancellations

Under UK consumer law, you have the right to cancel online or off-premises purchases within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

After this 14-day period, purchases are non-refundable.

If we are unable to provide a promised benefit (e.g., tickets, photos), we may offer a replacement or partial refund at our discretion.
Changes & Amendments
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of adoption packages after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
